Update: Unfortunately, our organic traffic has halved and has not recovered to its original level even six months after the end of the collaboration. Our main keyword has slipped from position 3 to over 10. We addressed problems from our side early on, but there was hardly any noticeable improvement. The majority of hours were spent on inefficient internal organization instead of actually implementing the agreed measures. IT tasks were not completed at all. After our 1-star rating here, our company profile was also flooded with fake 1-star reviews - as if the damage done wasn't enough.

We would undoubtedly have been quicker in processing the tasks if the workflow and the prioritization defined together with you had not been repeatedly disrupted by months of unpaid invoices on your part. Despite your assurances, the invoices were paid at increasingly longer intervals. The cooperation with the search heroes leaves mixed impressions. On a human level, the contact persons were friendly, approachable and eager - there is little to criticize. However, there are clear weaknesses in the operational and commercial areas. Not recommended for small companies: The pricing model is hardly viable for start-ups or small companies. According to our own experience, around 30% of the budget is spent on general activities and reporting - not on actual, tangible performance. This ratio may be bearable for large budgets, but is simply inefficient for smaller companies. Lack of transparency in costs and retainer model: A key problem is the lack of transparency. Price agreements - for example on text costs - were simply adjusted retrospectively (e.g. 3 instead of 2 hours per text = +50% price increase). Additional services such as research were also charged separately without prior agreement. The retainer model makes traceability even more difficult: you only find out what the money was actually used for when you ask several times. Accounting chaos: The bookkeeping was repeatedly unreliable: Incorrect invoices, reminders despite timely payment, debits without a SEPA mandate and even double debits caused unnecessary extra work and loss of trust. Conclusion: Search heroes can be an option for larger companies with a stable budget - but risky for smaller ones. A clear recommendation: put all agreements in writing, especially regarding prices, research costs, terms and meeting structures. Trust alone is not enough here.
