FAQ for Service Providers
FAQs
Project Inquiries
The contact details of the client are provided exclusively to the providers selected for the shortlist. To be considered for the shortlist, you must first apply for a project request and submit your references and contact details. Then, you place a bid.
The bid is the amount you are willing to pay to obtain the client's contact details.
During the application period, you can increase your bid at any time and view the bids of other providers who have also applied for the same inquiry.
After the application period ends, our expert team reviews the submissions of the 3-5 highest bidders (depending on the shortlist size of the project inquiry). This review also includes an analysis of the providers' websites and Feedbax profiles.
Providers who pass this review are placed on the shortlist and are asked to upload a detailed proposal document for the project inquiry.
If a shortlist candidate fails the manual review, the next highest bidder takes their place, and their application is then manually reviewed.
In the past, the shortlisting process was conducted entirely manually, based on the proposal documents submitted. Every applicant had to prepare and upload a proposal document. After the application period ended, we reviewed all applications and proposal documents, selecting the best for the shortlist.
Many providers whose applications were not selected for the shortlist often could not understand why other applications were preferred. They frequently expressed that the process lacked transparency and that the effort involved in the applications was too high.
We take the issue of transparency very seriously and are committed to continuously improving the user experience on our platform. A transparent bidding process is the most effective way to ensure maximum transparency in the shortlisting process.

The following approaches are not feasible for us:
-
Allowing any interested party to buy contact details: This does not ensure that clients will receive high-quality proposals. Additionally, there is a high risk of ghosting, as clients may be overwhelmed by offers and attempts to contact them.
-
Allowing only the first 3 or 5 interested parties to buy contact details: This mostly benefits smaller providers, as they can act much quicker. Moreover, it does not guarantee the quality of the applications.
Directories
The ranking in our directories is based on the Feedbax Score, which is individually calculated for each company profile in each directory. The higher the score, the better the placement in the respective directory.
Our Feedbax Score incorporates several factors with varying weights to best sort the directories by the quality of the profiles.
Here are the factors of our ranking algorithm:
- Number of Matching Case Studies (highest weighting): For example, 10 case studies in app development bring 100 score points for the app development directory.
- Feedbax Reviews (very high weighting): More recent reviews count more. A 5-star review that is a week old can contribute up to 10 times more to the Feedbax Score than a two-year-old review.
- Integrated Reviews from Other Sources (high weighting).
- Use of Our Widgets (high weighting): If you have integrated at least one Feedbax widget (reviews, Google Stars, or Top Company) on your website, you will receive 100 additional score points for all directories.
- Missing reviews lead to a deduction of 50 score points. Example: A company profile without customer reviews, whether directly through Feedbax or from other portals, receives a points deduction.
- Number of Case Studies (high weighting): 10 case studies mean 20 score points.
- Percentage of Expertise: For example, if 90% of a company's expertise is in app development, 90 score points are awarded for the app development directory.
- Profile Progress: A profile progress of 90% earns 90 score points for all directories.
Please note that the standard sorting in our directories (verified first) first uses the booked subscription and then the Feedbax Score. This means that a Premium profile, despite having a higher Feedbax Score, will still be placed below an Enterprise profile.
The "Feedbax Score" sorting, which forms the basis for qualification for our awards, is based solely on the Feedbax Score without considering the subscription status.
Within each subscription group, profiles are sorted by Feedbax Score.
Example directory table:
- Enterprise Profile A (700 score points)
- Enterprise Profile B (500 score points)
- Premium Profile C (600 score points)
- Premium Profile D (400 score points)
- Business Profile E (200 score points)
- Starter Profile F (100 score points)
- Unverified Profile G (50 score points)
Your Feedbax Score is updated once daily. If you have made relevant changes, please check your ranking again the next day.

Reviews
Reviews are your currency and can be used to enter more challenging and higher budgeted projects. We are very pleased that you have recognized this value.
However, simple star ratings or a two-line customer review are far from sufficient to effectively substantiate your expertise and qualities. The higher the order volume, the more detailed your customer reviews must be in order to gain the necessary trust of potential new customers.
Customer reviews that arise via Feedbax are very precisely aimed at more demanding and therefore higher-paying orders, which are usually awarded after various so-called reference calls.
Our ratings cover the most important questions in a typical reference call, which make it much easier to make an order decision for a project award. This way, your top clients can submit a precise and verified rating on Feedbax and don't have to be contacted repeatedly for each new project request.
Step 1 Select a satisfied client for whom you have successfully implemented a project, and provide us with their contact details. Also, give us a brief description of the project.
For this, visit this page.
Step 2 An experienced industry expert from our team will arrange a short phone call with your client. Your client will decide the timing of the interview.
Step 3 During the brief and pleasant phone interview, our expert will compose a high-quality and informative client recommendation for you. Your client won’t need to type a single word and can relax throughout the process.
Step 4 Afterwards, the personally crafted client recommendation is refined, optimized, and published as a verified client recommendation on your company profile.
