We are a startup from Frankfurt that is currently in a legal dispute with the company. It all started in the summer of 2017 when we developed an innovative idea for which we needed the support of a software development company to implement it. We decided from the outset to work with a German development company, as the implementation would be somewhat more complex, we considered personal contact to be very important for such a partnership and we were convinced of the "German quality" despite the higher prices. After a lengthy search for suitable companies, we became aware of Shopcloud - behind which is schukai GmbH. After several phone calls with the company, we were given the positive prospect that all our requirements could be met, so we agreed to work together. The verbally agreed target date was June (planned development time of 2 months). Unfortunately, there was still no completion in sight in November... Furthermore, the cooperation turned out to be unacceptable for us due to the following breaches of duty. Here are a few non-exhaustive examples: - unencrypted e-mail correspondence, - verbal agreements not taken into account, - project and budget plans not submitted, despite repeated requests and deadlines, - frequently incorrectly prepared project and budget plans (always to our detriment), which were only corrected after multiple requests and deadlines and were then often incorrect again and had to be corrected, - Unjustified postponements of the completion date, - permanent non-compliance with the established project plans, - unjustified cancellations of planned telephone appointments or failure to return promised calls, - failure to respond to inquiries regarding partial services promised in terms of time for review We could list more points at this point, but we think that these are already meaningful enough. As schukai GmbH is not prepared to reach an out-of-court settlement, we are unfortunately still involved in legal proceedings (May 2019). The "cooperation" has not only cost us a lot financially, but also psychologically and in terms of time, so we have put our startup on hold and have been unable to pursue our dreams. With this review, we would like to help anyone who is also looking for a software development company for their implementation.
