Case Study by Vention
Description
Vention supported the Berlin-based FinTech company Upvest in the redevelopment of a B2B platform, the improvement of the infrastructure and the implementation of new functions.
Challenge
Upvest, one of the hundred fastest growing startups in Germany, needed a scalable, modern application that would accommodate the company's rapid growth while supporting its existing solution.
Solution
2 of our Golang engineers and other highly qualified developers took over the new development of the B2B platform. Thanks to our long-standing partnership with Google Cloud, the security, monitoring and flexibility of the infrastructure were also improved in the process.
Results
Thanks to the optimizations made and the implementation of new features, not only has customer satisfaction increased, but our support also helped Upvest secure $18 million in Series A financing.

The experience of the employees helped us a lot. However, we were impressed by Vention's flexibility. When we requested changes or adjustments to our requirements, they communicated quickly and effectively and found a solution.
Background
We are a young startup with focus on data analysis of commercial vehicles. The goal is to give fleet operators and their workshops deep insights into vehicle conditions in order to reduce failures and use resources more efficiently.
Challenge
Support the team in implementing new functionalities in our web application, a restructuring of our database, as well as support the implementation of new processes in our development.
Solution
We contacted several providers. Vention appealed to us the most because of the uncomplicated & quick process, the informative documents and the good price-performance ratio.
After a short introductory phase, the team integrated very well and independently carried out the work discussed.
The multifunctional team consisted of a project manager / SCRUM master, a designer, and 3 software developers who took on various tasks around Dev-Ops, Cloud Infrastructure and Web Development.
Results
Through the work, our platform was restructured, which has improved the development and performance by a lot. The implemented processes have a lasting positive impact on our team.
The collaboration was very effective. The first results were achieved shortly after onboarding. Communication with team members and Vention in general was very professional.
The experience of the employees helped us a lot. However, we were impressed by Vention's flexibility. When we requested changes or adjustments to our requirements, they communicated quickly and effectively and found a solution.
The staff used were dedicated and quick, however more experienced staff would have been quicker to find a suitable solution. The team was a good fit for us as a startup and the team members were selected by us beforehand, but this is something we will consider in the future.
