★ Stern für die schnelle Hilfe nach einem Hackerangriff. Ansonsten läuft das System extrem langsam. Viele Versprechen und Werbung, aber am Ende passiert nichts. In einer Zeit, in der alles über Websites läuft, kann man als Unternehmer sich solche Trägheit nicht leisten.

After an initially very friendly contact, a long stretch of phone calls, and the agreement of a care package for €39/month, we coordinated maintenance & updates and a few minor design changes (all of which were to happen by agreement). We also talked about a second new website, where a new design, etc., would be built. But then the demands kept increasing. Before I even had the chance to make any visual changes to the existing website, more and more emails came in—AI-generated suggestions for SEO (I did what was sensible, checked whether it was already in place), plus AI-written drafts for various content. I was always asked what I thought of it—not told to just do it that way. In the end, it was an email with what amounted to a complete AI output/prompt for a whole new landing page, and I was asked what I thought of that. I didn’t respond to that email right away because another client was sitting next to me and we worked on his project for a few hours. Then the call came from the same friendly customer a few hours after that email—she asked what I thought, even though I told her I hadn’t even had a chance to read the email yet. Just keep in mind: it was only a few hours. The other client was still next to me, and he even saw it live while shaking his head. Her response: “Okay, I’ll find someone else.” The contract was canceled, she sent dismissive/derogatory remarks by email, and left a 1-star review—which, of course, we all know how that goes. :-) For me personally: I’d rather have it end with a jolt than drag on indefinitely.
