I was hired as a freelance photographer by this agency to shoot photos for one of its clients, as part of their communications needs. During our first meeting on site, Xavier really emphasized the company’s growth, its turnover, and the major firms it works with. I admit I’m having a hard time understanding how a business of this kind can run into so much trouble paying a freelance invoice of just €300, which has been overdue since April despite multiple reminders. The photo shoot took place on April 16, 2026. That same evening, the client received a gallery so they could select the photos they wanted. On April 27, 2026, I sent a link containing the final photos, along with a second package that included my invoice for €300. The photographed client gave me very positive feedback on the work and said they were happy with the results. Since I received no confirmation that my email was received and no information about payment of my invoice by the agency, I sent a first reminder on May 11 to make sure my previous message had gone through. I received no response. On June 1, I sent another reminder—again, with no immediate reply. I finally received a message stating that the invoice would be sent to accounting. On June 15, no payment had been made, and no additional information had been provided. So on June 23, I sent a formal notice before sending a demand for payment. This time, I got a response in under two hours. I was told that Christine from accounting should have contacted me, but that it ultimately hadn’t been done. To date—more than two months after the service was completed, the photos were delivered, and the invoice was sent—I still haven’t received any payment. A formal demand for payment will now be issued to obtain payment of this invoice.

Hi Marie, We sincerely apologize for the delay in processing and for the lack of communication after your email reminders, when a simple phone call would have helped avoid this situation. After an internal review, we can confirm that your deliverable was only taken into account for payment at the end of May. Unfortunately, this step was delayed by the exchanges needed to select the photos, as well as by the public holidays and long weekends in May, which slowed down our internal approval workflow. Once your deliverable was accounted for, our vendor invoices are typically paid within 30 days. That said, we recognize that this process should have been explained to you more clearly in advance, and that our responses should have been more prompt. We can confirm that your invoice was paid today by bank transfer, and we apologize for the inconvenience. This situation also prompts us to improve our administrative procedures and how we follow up with our service providers, so that this doesn’t happen again. Best regards, The Mentalworks Team

Bad experience during the website renewal process. No responsiveness, and requests were left unanswered for a year with no real follow-up from your side. Update in response to your reply: I’m one of your clients—my team is the one working with you, not me.

Hi there—you must have gotten the wrong company, because your identity doesn’t match any of our identified clients (especially for a website renewal). We ask that you remove this review or contact us directly so we can provide a tailored response.
Very professional and very responsive—it's been a real pleasure working with Mathieu Mounier. I recommend him 100%.

Thank you so much for your review—it’s a pleasure to collaborate with the Hôpital de Compiègne-Noyon.
