We wanted to buy a printer for our team that everyone in the office could use easily. We were sold a device that lets anyone scan and print by email—simple and convenient. Unfortunately, it turned out that this isn’t possible unless you have special equipment, which we weren’t told about during the sales conversation. For a lot of money, we had to order the additional equipment, and in the end we paid much more than for comparable printers on the market. Overall, it felt like the goal was just to make a sale, and it didn’t seem like we received honest advice.
