With a strategically designed Google Ads campaign and continuous optimization, Hanseranking achieved a significant increase in sales and efficiency for MOTION SPORTS, without additional costs. The collaboration was described by the client as professional and goal-oriented, with additional expansion of social media consulting.
A new Performance Max campaign was set up as a central tool that makes optimum use of all Google placements - in particular the Shopping Network, YouTube and Display. The product data feed was continuously optimized to highlight fitness customers relevant characteristics such as weight and resilience. The bidding strategy started with "maximize conversions" to promote entry-level products such as dumbbells and yoga mats. The strategy later changed to "maximize conversion value" to promote high-priced equipment such as treadmills and cross trainers. Regional and time-based targeting as well as targeted A/B tests and budget stability rounded off the strategy.
Through consistent optimization, sales increased by more than 200% within a year. At the same time, the ROAS rose from 1800% to 3200% per month, while the budget remained constant. This increase in efficiency was also reflected in the monthly reports, which transparently presented all relevant KPIs to the customer in detail. The budget was increased in a targeted manner, particularly during seasonal peak periods such as Black Friday and Christmas, in order to leverage additional sales potential.

Unfortunately, my personal experience with this agency was not satisfactory. I hired the agency to manage my Google Ads campaigns because I was hoping for active, professional support. However, in my view, those expectations were not met. What concerns me most is that, based on my impression, very few changes or activities were carried out in the Google Ads accounts. To the extent I could tell, there were sometimes only one or two logins per month. For ongoing campaign management, that didn’t seem sufficient to me. Although they did respond to my comments and complaints, I didn’t feel that the issues raised were resolved in a lasting way. Instead, it seemed to me that additional tasks were frequently passed on to me. At the same time, advertising costs continued to run while additional agency fees were also charged. For me, the balance between the costs and the value I perceived was therefore not satisfactory. Overall, I was disappointed with the collaboration and, based on my personal experience, I can’t recommend this agency.
