IT Solutions Consulting Dear IT Förster Team, We were disappointed with the way this project was handled in several respects. The starting point was your offer for “IT Solution Consulting” consisting of 8 hours at €180 each, totaling €1,440. You promised concrete results, well-founded recommendations for action, and a forward-looking strategic assessment of our IT structure. The appointment was scheduled for a day when two of your colleagues were already on their way to Bremen. The fact that a flat-rate travel fee of €720 would be charged for a mere 182 km was not communicated transparently in advance. We would never have accepted such a cost item at that amount. On-site, a simple assessment was conducted within about two hours: What systems do we use? What are our plans? What is in the pipeline? No independent analysis or concrete solutions were apparent at that time. Instead of a structured documentation of results, we initially received an invoice for €2,412—about 70% above the quoted amount. No clear explanation was provided for this massive deviation from the quote. We had to request the documentation multiple times. The “results” finally provided consisted essentially of: a list of our already known IT systems, our own future plans, and a photo of a flipchart that our employees had created themselves beforehand. IT solution consulting should do more than simply summarize existing information and then bill us for it at a significant markup. We view the lack of transparency regarding cost development and the handling of our request for a clarifying discussion as particularly problematic. Instead of a constructive solution, we received only a payment demand. This approach does not align with our understanding of professionalism or collaborative partnership. On this basis, we cannot recommend working with IT Förster in this manner.
