I became aware of the online presence of an employee of this system house. As a potential customer/partner, I attach great importance to a professional environment and democratic values. The way Mr. H. presents himself publicly on the internet—especially with regard to the dissemination of conspiracy theories and his proximity to right-wing extremist positions—makes me doubt the corporate culture. An IT service provider bears a high level of responsibility and should radiate neutrality and seriousness. For me personally, under these circumstances, this is unfortunately not a partner for cooperation.

A Lenovo ThinkPad Carbon X1 sent in via Cyberport due to display problems was in service for weeks. Only upon request (after 8 weeks via Cyberport) was I informed that the device cannot be tested because it is password-protected and Ubuntu is installed anyway, which is why warranty claims are rejected. Ubuntu is officially supported by Lenovo for this model and how the described display problems can be explained with driver difficulties is a mystery to me anyway. After agreeing to a reset of the device, it came back unrepaired and with the Ubuntu after 2 more weeks. No defects could be found. Apparently the device was booted with a Windows Live system after all and then not tested or not tested properly. As a gesture of goodwill, I was not charged any further costs, they said. This statement is a slap in the face after the service procedure so far! After a tip, I found a Lenovo service partner in Berlin. Diagnosis: light bleeding and ghosting. The device was repaired and returned to me after only one day. To be "fair", I can't say where the cause of the delay is (Cyberport or Atrios). However, the basic procedure is definitely a fail on Atrios' part! I really don't wish such an experience to anyone!
