Abbeal

Abbeal is a senior engineering group spanning three geographies, established in Paris in 2015 by Sébastien Lonjon and Vianney Blanquart. With linked operations in Paris, Montréal (launched in 2023), and Tokyo (launched in 2021), the company runs a continuous 24/7 adaptive follow-the-sun delivery setup in which engineering teams pass context from one region to the next every day across CET, EST, and JST. There is no backlog, no technical debt, and no need to wait for one time zone to come online. The firm works across four core engineering areas: Software—web and mobile with React, Vue, Angular, Next.js, Node, Java, and Python; Artificial Intelligence and Data—PyTorch, LangChain, Pinecone, RAG built to withstand heavy load, and agentic workflows; Cloud and Reliability—AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability; and Embedded and Robotics—modern C++, Rust, ROS 2, embedded Linux, MQTT, and CAN bus. Abbeal differs from the usual French IT services model: it does not default to time-and-material billing and instead commits to clear deliverables and SLOs. Depending on the need, it offers three ways to work: Staff Augmentation, with senior engineers embedded in your teams; Talent Acquisition, covering top-1% tech hiring with international relocation; and Digital Solutions, for end-to-end product delivery under an output-based engagement. Its international mobility program, Mobbeal, has moved more than 50 engineers among Paris, Montréal, and Tokyo since 2022. Vianney Blanquart, co-founder and COO, has also been the General Manager of the Montréal hub since November 2024. Its client roster includes BNP Paribas, AXA, Kering, Société Générale, PayPay, Money Forward, Carrefour, Hydro-Québec, Le Monde, EDF, PwC, Decathlon, Cartier, and Ticketmaster.
