I contracted Volcanic's services for three years (domain management, hosting, and Google Workspace). They decided to increase the hosting price by 50% without any prior notice, which forced me to look for another provider. When I asked for an explanation, the response was, "we just resell." I would have appreciated prior communication so I could have evaluated alternatives before the renewal. As a result, I decided to terminate all services, including the Google Workspace billing. Before authorizing the change, I specifically asked if the transfer would cause any issues. I was told it was just a billing change and that it would not cause any service interruption. It was only after the change that I discovered it meant having to pay a new annual fee directly to Google, despite having already paid one to Volcanic, a consequence I had not been warned about. In short, I had to pay for six months of Google Workspace twice, all thanks to Volcanic's handling. To sum up, my experience was marked by a lack of communication in two important ways: first, a price increase without prior notice, and then a billing transfer for Google Workspace whose financial consequences were not explained to me. After three years as a client, I was surprised that they preferred to justify the situation rather than find a solution or compensation for a problem that the company itself admitted it was unaware of. Fortunately, I am now completely disconnected from this company. Personally, I cannot recommend their services. I hope this review can be useful to anyone considering hiring them or transferring management to another provider.

Hi Marc, Thank you for sharing your experience and for being our customer for these three years. We want to add some context to a few points: Regarding the increase in the hosting price: it's true that we raised our prices this year, and as we mentioned when you contacted us, we sincerely apologize. The reason was a significant increase from our own provider, after almost ten years without raising prices and absorbing almost the entire cost for our clients, as we informed you. When you brought it to our attention, we apologized, canceled it, and refunded you 95% of the unused amount, which is to say, almost the entire amount. Regarding the transfer of the Google Workspace subscription: you're right that we didn't warn you about the financial consequences before doing it, because we ourselves weren't aware of this specific scenario of how Google handles mid-term transfers of annual plans, We've never encountered this before, which is why we always include the links to Google in the client contract so you can verify their actions and contact them if you have any questions that are outside our area of expertise. Once you mentioned that they were charging you for the remaining term until the plan's expiration, we decided not to bill you for the full management we provided during that process, which included: domain transfer, website migration, and subscription transfer, plus the necessary inquiries with Google to ensure you didn't lose service at any point. even though it normally costs much more than the amount Google will charge, which wasn't specifically mentioned on this occasion, but which are our standard rates and which you had requested for other reasons in other interventions. Although we weren't contractually obligated to do so, we always take care of our clients as if they were our own, and our intention is for you to be satisfied. We understand that you had a bad experience, and as always, we will help you in any way we can. If you ever want to discuss this directly with us, we are still here for you. Regards,
