At the beginning of the project, the client's goal was to implement its own e-commerce strategy in addition to its extensive global dealer and distribution network. After planning a strategy, we implemented a new online store for B2B and B2C customers. The technical basis is Shopware 6, and the web store in the updated corporate design is characterized by a user-friendly, clearly structured implementation of the Shopware shopping worlds. The core of the eCommerce application is a sophisticated interface technology with connections to various third-party systems. In particular, VI BRAND Studios developed its own interface for SAP by design so that the web store is seamlessly integrated into the company's processes as a manufacturer and global retailer.

SOLO uses SAP ByDesign as its ERP system for all operational processes, from production and warehousing to accounting. When planning the online store, it was already crucial for SOLO that SAP was the leading system for all processes and that the new online store would fit seamlessly into SOLO's process infrastructure. Together with SOLO, our team at VI BRAND Studios defined all processes together with SOLO to create the requirements for an automated workflow between SAP and Shopware 6. The connector developed by VI BRAND Studios with API connection to both systems now manages the data exchange between the systems. In addition to pure stock queries, customer data including specific price lists can also be transferred, for example. The online store thus relieves the entire back office and automates workflows.
