Terrible experience. The room doesn't match the photos in the listing: it's extremely basic, has no blinds, the window is left open because of the air conditioning vent (which lets in bugs and dirt), and the unit makes an unbearable noise. The pillows are paper-thin, and there’s no soundproofing whatsoever. The worst part was the service. We accidentally checked out an hour late (we paid the late fee without any problem), but when we got to the lobby, the receptionist (Pilar) and two of her coworkers greeted us by yelling at us, with appalling manners and unacceptable disrespect. I travel a lot and have never been treated this way; the situation triggered a severe anxiety attack. I do not recommend it at all.

It is in a very rude street. It is similar to an airbnb. The house has 5 floors. There are 3 different hostel on 3 floors. The room was very small. They use a very poor solution for everything. There are a lot of house in a town which are not suitable for using as a hotel. This is one of them. There is not breakfast as well. I recommand for nobody. The price is very high (125 EUR) for nothing. If you don’t believe me, watch my photos.

The street of the hotel is very close to the Grand Via, pretty run-down. It is not easy find the hotel, because it is in a standard urban apartment building. The house has 5 floors, and there are 3 different hotels in it, in 3 different floor. The company sign is a small table on the side of the front door. There was no breakfast, the room was run-down. I was in a similar quality hotel in Africa.

A total SCAM: I booked a room at the "Hostal Universal" through Booking 10 days in advance. Two days later, I asked to change the dates via the company's WhatsApp, but they refused to give me ANY other dates. They also wouldn’t accept my cancellation, so they kept my money without providing the service. >>> A UNIVERSAL SCAM <<<
