I was really disappointed with the way this agency handled my call. The person in charge of hiring—her name is Léa—was completely disrespectful. Every time I asked a question to get more information about the position, she answered in a cold, dismissive way with just “yes,” “no,” or “I don’t know,” while sighing into the phone, as if giving a candidate information was a burden. It’s up to you, ma’am. The bare minimum is to be respectful and to speak to people properly. Remember that you’re here to serve us in your role.

I was contacted by a young woman from this agency for a job that was still being prepared. When I arrived, she told me, “Sorry, the client found someone else.” I asked how—she should have informed me beforehand. She responded coldly, “As you can hear, sir,” with absolutely no politeness. I’ve been working in temp staffing for eight years, and I’ve never encountered this kind of behavior. Honestly, it’s not professional to bring someone in for a mission that ultimately isn’t available, especially when the person has left their commitments behind just to come over—and then ends up being greeted with just a “sorry,” with no form of basic courtesy. You made me waste my time, whether it was for my registration with you or for an unnecessary trip. Before calling someone, it’s important to make sure the assignment is confirmed—and to greet them with a smile.

Terrible phone call—touchy HR, a massively inflated ego, serious interpretation skills problems, and she can’t seem to talk to people. What is she doing in this position? Disgusting!!

They contacted me on a Friday to ask whether I was available to send my CV for an interview the following week. I replied that I wasn’t, but that I’d be available the week after that. So far, everything was fine. The next week, I called to get an update, but I learned that the person who had contacted me was in training all week. So I called again the following week. At first, she said she didn’t remember me, but after I reminded her of the context, she placed it again and told me she would check whether the client still had a need. Since she probably should have been informed about her training starting from Friday, I don’t understand why my CV wasn’t sent right after our first conversation. I may have missed an opportunity because of this lack of follow-up.

I went to this temporary staffing agency today, and my experience was mixed. There’s no doorbell at the entrance, so I had to wait about five minutes in the rain before someone opened the door for me. The first person to let me in was a young woman at the front desk. She didn’t greet me at all and simply asked, “What do you want?” without a smile or any polite greeting. The front desk felt cold and unprofessional, which is a real shame for an agency that supports people in their job search. That said, I’d like to thank the second woman, who was older and was also there. She was respectful, polite, and professional in the way she welcomed me. I hope the agency can improve the quality of its welcome, because respect and courtesy are essential in this line of work.
