WARNING - SCAM!! I booked a rental car in Spain through Billiger-Mietwagen with Wheego, which is apparently billed through Car Hire Market. At the rental location, they used a rigged card reader to make me believe my PIN was incorrect. After three attempts, the card was blocked (according to the card reader). As a result, I could no longer pay the deposit to the rental company, and I was offered a completely overpriced insurance policy that could be paid for with any other card. Since I refused, I ultimately did not receive the rental car I had booked and paid for in advance, and I left in a taxi, which I was then able to pay for with my supposedly blocked credit card. After consulting with my credit card provider, I was told that Wheego had not established a connection, which should have happened even with an incorrect PIN. My card was also not blocked. This clearly means that Wheego is attempting to defraud customers with a tampered card reader and is also using this device to read card data and PINs. Who knows what else they’re doing with it. I’ve blocked my card. When I tried to report the fraud to Billiger-Mietwagen, no one was interested, and I was told that they couldn’t do anything about it. In a few days, I’ll receive an email and can then file my complaint there. To me, this sounds like they’re ripping off customers at any cost. As far as I’m concerned, that was my last time with Billiger-Mietwagen!

A very disappointing experience with Billiger-Mietwagen. I booked a rental car through the platform using my full company details and simply needed an invoice in the company’s name—a standard procedure. Despite contacting them multiple times, I have not received an invoice to this day, more than two months after the booking. Instead of a solution, I was repeatedly shuffled back and forth between Billiger-Mietwagen and Rentalcars. I was then told to contact the rental location directly. I did so—but there I was referred back to Billiger-Mietwagen again. This leaves me caught in a completely opaque and chaotic process involving three parties, in which apparently no one feels responsible. What is particularly frustrating is that my company details were apparently forwarded by Billiger-Mietwagen incorrectly or incompletely (or not at all?), even though I provided them correctly during the booking. Even though Billiger-Mietwagen likes to claim it is “merely an intermediary,” organizing a functioning billing process is one of the absolute basics. After more than two months without an invoice and numerous attempts to contact them, my patience has finally run out. Very disappointing—I will no longer book rental cars through this platform in the future.

The receipt for the rental fee is issued directly by the respective provider. For any services you book on-site at the local rental station, the station will issue the corresponding receipt to you. Since some providers are headquartered abroad, it is not always possible to include a VAT statement on the receipts. The location of the respective provider’s headquarters is always the determining factor in this regard. Never again! Working with this provider cost me over €600. The entire transaction was completely unprofessional. My name was already entered incorrectly during the data transfer (the “Ü” was replaced with a “?”), which led to the local partner refusing to hand over the rental car to me. I had to rebook on-site under the most expensive conditions possible (at the airport, on the day of rental, ...). Additionally, my credit cards (Visa DKB Miles & More), which are required to be accepted according to the terms and conditions, were rejected for no reason. Apparently with the aim of pressuring me into purchasing extremely expensive deposit insurance. In the end, I was left to cover all the costs—neither Billiger-Mietwagen nor the partner company felt responsible. Especially with international rentals, as in my case in Spain, this can get legally very messy. I can only strongly advise everyone against this untrustworthy company.

Never again! I’d rather use other providers. My booked reservation was canceled, but the money was still charged; I never received the car, and I’m still waiting for a refund. Absolutely terrible customer service. You can’t expect anything from them. The worst platform I’ve ever used. I’ve spent at least three hours on the phone so far, with no success and no refund. So far, just empty promises from the staff.

Last year, I rented a car for France through billigermietwagen, who in turn had a contract with wisecars, who in turn had a contract with Goldcar. The car was fully insured, we wanted to go on a longer trip, I was sent from one to the other, Goldcar couldn't be reached, so I went to a car dealership, who advised us not to drive too far. I had to have the tire changed (€200) due to damage (dent = risk of blowout). After numerous phone calls, emails, etc., I still haven't seen the money. I would never do this again. I strongly advise against it, especially because of this "contract transfer" where no one feels responsible... If you finally take care of the matter, we can talk about deleting or changing this review...

Once upon a time, before biliger-mietwagen became Floyt, it was a very good company. I booked there without any problems for years. Unfortunately, things have obviously changed there now, as numerous reviews indicate. I was also not helped in any way when I had an insurance claim. I'm sure there will be another standardized response to this short review. My advice: rather than empty talk, make real improvements: 3.2 out of 5 stars should speak for itself!

I would NOT recommend using this providers. They promise availability, when there is actually none. They make you pay for bookings, send you a voucher and when you arrive at the destination, there is no car and the shop on site tells you they have nothing to do with it, since there never was availability in the first place and this website is selling a product which in fact does not exist. When you try to claim your money back, they send you to yet another company in between the booking platform and the Car Company. A company on which you can create a "ticket" with your complain and never hear again from them. 100% Scam
