Frank is the CEO of the Shopmonauten® and has been working as an e-commerce marketing expert and visionary in his own companies since 2009. He built up Shopmonauten. With automatisms in his brain and passion in his blood, he leads the crew through the data-driven daily routine.

Dominik is a Shopmonauten® veteran and employee no. 1. As an e-commerce programmer, Google Merchant Center expert, data feed expert and conversion tracking hero, he rocks the store. If it's complicated, Dominik solves it. He makes sure that everything runs smoothly.

Tamara is the data feed programming specialist and all-purpose challenge conqueror at Shopmonauten®. As a proven expert in data feeds and with deep technical expertise, she can solve complex problems and ensure that all data flows smoothly.

About qpool24 
At qpool24, professional craftsmen and ambitious DIY enthusiasts can find numerous products for domestic, heating and plumbing technology. The range offers a large selection of multilayer composite pipes, PE pipes, armoured hoses, brass fittings, galvanized fittings, pipe fittings, insulation for pipes, expansion vessels, radiators, suitable tools and much more. 

What was the goal? 
The customer wanted to "go international" as quickly as possible. While the store and advertising had previously been limited to Germany and Switzerland, 17 other European markets were now to be added. From Portugal to Sweden, from the Netherlands to Poland. qpool24 itself took over the creation of the store country pages - the task of the Shopmonauts was to set up Google Ads for the new countries.

Challenge

On the technical side, an optimized shopping feed had to be provided for each country and various tracking and analysis services had to be used for 17 online stores at scale. Secondly, the best Google Ads setup had to be found for a variety of languages, target regions and currencies.

Solution

qpool24 quickly succeeded in creating feeds for the countries. We integrated these into the client's existing Merchant Center and decided against creating new Merchant Center accounts. The reason: we were able to assign each country feed to the new Google Ads accounts at the click of a mouse. Custom labels were used - one for each country. The highlight: when creating a Perf-Max campaign, the respective country could now simply be selected via dropdown. Speaking of campaign set-up: we decided on one account per country. These accounts were assigned to a new qpoo24 management account. The overview of performance played the biggest role in this choice. The currency problem was avoided by operating all accounts in EUR (only one currency is allowed per account). This is possible despite the fact that some countries themselves do not use the EUR as a means of payment (e.g. Sweden, Denmark). Finally, a word about the ad texts. Here we worked with international Google Ads experts who were familiar with the linguistic and cultural customs of the new countries. We found these experts through our global network of Google Ads specialists.
