Three men from this company behaved completely idiotically in a company car. Their behavior was unprofessional, inconsiderate, and left a very bad impression. Such behavior is completely inappropriate for a company that wants to be taken seriously. Very disappointing.

[Update] Deduction of stars after longer experience: Overview: A down-to-earth company with typical Allgäu traits. The know-how is good and you can learn a lot - as an apprentice as well as an employee - at least up to a certain point. Development: SCALTEL does a lot of things well and right. Unfortunately, at its headquarters it is traveling with the handbrake on. As in many companies, a lot of emphasis is placed on so-called "innovations". Social: Unfortunately, the so-called "voluntary" social benefits are below the industry average. The "fruit basket", free water and (fun fact: on the company's own premises) free parking spaces are still being advertised. To what extent these are supposed to be social benefits is questionable. There are other benefits that can also be found in most other companies. In my opinion, these are run-of-the-mill offers and do not represent any real added value. There has been no further development here in the last 4 years. Communication: At the main location, important topics are communicated more via the office grapevine. At the same time, the internal focus is on prestige issues. Many employees do not dare to speak to their superiors about problems. This fear is very pronounced at the main site, as criticism is not dealt with here, but is discussed away. Statements such as "If you carry on like this, we'll have to think about whether we even fit together" and other incidents of this kind are regularly reported by several colleagues. Finances: The big salaries are predictably concentrated in management, while the "working class" is at the lower industry average, or even below. There has been some compensation for inflation in recent years, but only as much as is necessary. There is a slight tendency towards a two-tier society. The team leaders are permanently caught between the real workers and the hope of getting into management (conflicts of interest are inevitable and noticeable). There is a lot of trust in employees, but only if it serves their own cause. Going it alone or "self-made men" are viewed negatively and blocked verbally/organizationally. Especially when it comes to issues that could benefit colleagues below management or team leader level, but not EBIT. Important to note: The above criticism applies to individual or several people at the main location, but not to the entire company. At the other locations, work is more productive and there is more freedom. They are much closer to the reality of employees and customers, which can also be seen in the behavior of the employees (more relaxed and trustworthy). Conclusion: All of the issues mentioned are widespread in the industry and are no real surprise. SCALTEL has remained at its current size for several years and does not really want to expand, despite high ambitions to be the leader in technology X and industry Y. The group of companies is a good training ground and springboard for a larger company. @Review team: This is a subjective assessment (opinion) based on actual events.
