Description

MemoryPC.de is an established provider of individually configurable PC systems. The previous online store was based on Shopware 5 and was technically outdated. There were serious performance problems, limited update capability and a confusing PC configurator that significantly inhibited conversion. It also lacked a multilingual structure for international scaling.

Challenge

The goal was a comprehensive relaunch in Shopware 6, which not only offers a more modern appearance, but above all:

• increases the conversion rate,
• integrates a powerful PC configurator,
• enables international expansion through multilingualism and legally compliant EU shipping,
• significantly improves performance.

Solution

The project started in mid-2024 and lasted one year. In close coordination with the customer, Pixup Media took over the complete implementation:

• Theme development: A completely new, individually developed frontend design in Scene theme style, with a focus on user guidance and responsive behavior.
• Custom PC configurator: Development of a highly complex configurator with extensive dependencies and dynamic selection rules.
• Migration: Complete data migration of all articles, customers, orders and system data from the old Shopware 5 system to the new environment.
• System connection: Integration of an ERP system and all common payment providers.
• Multilingualism: Implementation of a multilingual store structure to open up European markets - automated translation by the Pixup AI Translator for Shopware.
• Optimization: SEO measures, performance tuning, UX improvements and setup of an email marketing system with Klaviyo.
• Legal review: Consideration of all legal requirements for EU-wide shipping.

• Data volume: The migration of large quantities of products and orders was implemented without data loss and downtime.
• Complex configuration logic: The dependencies within the configurator required a well thought-out, stable set of rules with maximum flexibility.
