Hi Nancy, Thanks for the feedback. Let’s touch base about this by email. Update March 20: The task we were given was to deliver a custom design with a relatively limited budget and a short deadline, and to update the theme that had already been purchased—via an unknown platform. That requires a clear scoping and setting of expectations, which is something we spend a lot of time on during the proposal stage, to make sure expectations on both sides are as clear as possible. We did that, and the result—despite the challenges we faced—is something we’re genuinely proud of. You received a premium webshop for the lowest price, and we’re proud of the outcome. That said, it’s incredibly frustrating that your template turned out to be so poor when it comes to Core Web Vitals. I can imagine you’re not very happy about it either, and neither are we. But we had to work with what we had in order to meet the assignment requirements. I take your feedback to heart, and we’ve decided that going forward we’ll only take on this kind of project with a very clear disclaimer: themes purchased outside the official channels come with risks. If I could go back in time, I would not have been able to find a way around the hard deadline and I would have declined the assignment, because we can’t guarantee the quality we, as an agency, strive for. I also filed an official complaint with the theme’s developer, in the hope that other parties won’t make the same mistake and end up buying a theme that has technical issues. Fortunately, the conversion rate increased significantly, and overall it was a strong step forward—we were able to prove again that our knowledge of conversion optimization is effective.
