I was there from the very beginning; I was a partner and project manager, and the only thing I’m left with after four years of working together is a complete sense of disappointment in the values that drive them, both personally and professionally.
The last few months were marked by a lack of communication, little transparency, and enormous selfishness.
When the numbers got complicated, they decided to handle the situation solely for their own benefit, forgetting that we were a team who saw each other every day.
The only positive thing I’m taking away from this company is having learned how important it is to have a good lawyer on hand when you’re part of a company, to understand that people aren’t always what they seem, and that not everyone shares the same values. Although I haven’t seen a single cent of profit from my ownership stake, at least I’ve gained peace of mind as this chapter comes to a close.
