I visited Quadro Châtillon in February 2026 to have a bookcase and wardrobe designed. But I made a big mistake: I didn’t check out their competitors (including a well-known chain with a store just a two-minute walk away on the same avenue), naively assuming the value for money would be more or less the same.
After a month of meetings and back-and-forth, my contact, Alain, and I had finalized the design. I left the store that day with the final 3D plans in hand. The following week, I received the purchase order to sign. However, it contained two errors in the 3D plans. I tried calling Alain several times that day—phone was easier for explaining the issues—but couldn’t reach him. He got back to me by message the next day, and I explained the problem, making it clear that a five-minute call would be enough to sort it out, but that I wasn’t willing to sign the purchase order as it stood. I heard nothing for two days (not very reassuring when it comes to potential after-sales service), then finally received a message saying the order had been canceled. In the end, a month’s work yielded €0 in revenue, and both Quadro and I had wasted our time.
For me, though, the experience ultimately turned out to be very useful. I went to a competitor and found no difference in quality, either in the service or the furniture, and was able to get a similar project done within my original budget—at a significantly lower price. Yet from the outset, Quadro had told me my budget was nowhere near realistic. The installation also took just a day and a half (compared with three days at Quadro), with flawless cuts and fit.
Hello, Mr. Faure. I decided to refund the €4,000 deposit your father paid, as I found your remarks unacceptable. I hope this experience will encourage you to show greater respect for the people you deal with in the future.

We were also able to work together using our video calls, since I’ve been overseeing the Chatillon store remotely for the past few months.
This time, the goals will be totally different—but that’s exactly the strength of true Quadro made-to-measure: technical solutions for installing the washer, dryer, and robot; dedicated space for laundry hampers; a built-in ironing board; and moving outlets to make it easier to access the vacuum. Plenty of exciting challenges ahead.

We went to this store to get advice and an initial estimate for a custom built-in piece under the staircase in a duplex in Le Plessis-Robinson.
Unfortunately, the reception fell short of our expectations. Before we even had a real chance to discuss our project—our dimensions, needs, or the technical constraints—the salesperson immediately asked for our budget. The attitude we encountered felt arrogant and not very customer-oriented.
Also, my wife—7 months pregnant—was not even invited to sit during our conversation. Maybe we didn’t look like we had the budget they were expecting?
We did come with a solid, concrete project. This experience really disappointed us, and we ended up signing with a competitor for €6,000.
It’s a shame for a specialized company in custom work, where listening, advice, and support should be essential.
