The discrepancy in the four-digit range you mentioned relates to the onboarding process at that time, which expanded significantly due to additional requirements and issues that arose during the course of the project. These services were—as is customary—implemented and billed based on actual time and effort. At the time, we discussed the situation transparently and even offered to terminate the business relationship. However, this offer was not accepted. Regarding our working methods: We can only assume responsibility for systems and access credentials that we have set up ourselves or that have been fully handed over to us. We cannot assume responsibility for customer access credentials or systems that we do not manage or for which we have no or incomplete access data. If such information first needs to be identified or recovered, this results in additional effort, which we document and bill in a transparent manner. We generally understand challenging economic situations. At the same time, we are a service provider and cannot simply waive services rendered—not even under the pressure of public scrutiny.

We rejected an invoice reduction of over 25% with a request for a "small discount". After receiving a reminder for the remaining amount, we terminated the business relationship. The accusation of inadequate performance only came afterwards - the outstanding amount was nevertheless paid in full. Sometimes it just doesn't fit.
