Avisi was established in 2000 by three college friends—Barri, Jan, and Gert‑Jan. In their previous workplace, they felt people and professional expertise didn’t receive the attention they deserved, and that truly useful software with a positive social effect wasn’t being delivered. Barri, Jan, and Gert‑Jan set out to build a software organization that brings customers real value with measurable impact—today known as Avisi. They shaped a culture where innovation and imagination can thrive, and where team members actually look forward to coming to work. To sharpen our focus on delivering new ideas and demonstrably valuable software, we’ve organized our work into three business units: Software Solutions, Cloud Services, and Atlassian products & services. Putting employees first At Avisi, developing our people is a major priority. We invest significant time and energy in training and education, and we pair that with a lean, low‑hierarchy structure. The result: ideas can emerge where they’re closest to the work—starting from the team level.
