Disappointed. They have a nice reputation but I worked for one of their portfolio company and this was very different. They were so hands-off that the founder was left on the loose running the business from 3 different jurisdictions, hardly coming to Berlin to meet the rest of the team.
I did not see any control on the expenses, nor serious support in raising the next rounds - we basically hit the cashwall. Because of bad planning, few colleagues were not paid their salaries.
Founder and company got sued and condemned by local labor court to pay the missing salary. The bailiff cannot get hold of the company founder nor its bank account but the registered address is in Atlantic Labs office.
When is it going to be dissolved? this is a pure mystery according to the lawyers involved.
While this mess primarly lies in the founder, Atlantic Labs also failed to do a professional job on this.
