This review is about the city hall, and more specifically the department that handles documents like passports and national ID cards. In this kind of job, human contact is crucial—but on their end, there was none. They’re willing to give some people emergency appointment slots, but not others. The phone calls are cold, with absolutely no sympathy or common courtesy. Now I’m stuck having to pay another €80, even though no one showed any humanity or offered another appointment. I don’t recommend this city hall for your identity documents.
Thanks to the city hall for the motorhome stopover with water and waste disposal provided by the city—we can even inflate our bikes there. It helps support the locals, too, as long as people respect it. The stop will last a long time. Thank you, Mr. Mayor.
Very pleasant and friendly accueil.
A warm welcome with a smile and great vibes!! Thank you so much.

I don’t usually go through Beaugency, but I’ve noticed that for several months now—maybe even a year, if I’m remembering correctly—the traffic light at the Beaugency bridge has been out and still hasn’t been repaired. Yesterday, I experienced what residents deal with every day during rush hour, and it’s a complete disaster. There’s right-of-way to the right, but people are driving in a single file, and I waited ten minutes with no chance to get through. Of course, the drivers behind got impatient and started trying to overtake. People who wanted to turn right even drove up onto the sidewalk to get by, and one person overtook me on the left. But since the drivers from the right had priority and kept moving in single file, he ended up just as stuck as I was—getting shouted at because he almost hit a car that had right of way, and in the process he blocked everyone coming from the opposite direction. Then everyone started yelling and insulting each other. Thankfully, one good person finally let me go through, otherwise I could’ve been stuck there for another 30 minutes. I was still yelled at, though, because I followed the right-of-way rules a bit too strictly. I’m giving it one star because leaving drivers and residents in a situation like this—especially a dangerous one that could lead to an accident someday—is simply unacceptable and shameful. And Beaugency is one of the showpieces of the CCTVL and is also well known for tourism, so you clearly have the means to fix that traffic light.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they were quick to process my ID for my visit.
