At Tuvalum, we’ve had a disastrous experience with the agency Webmefy, which has had a very negative impact on our business, and I cannot recommend working with them to anyone. We hired them to migrate Tuvalum from PHP Symfony to Shopify. There were—and, nine months later, there still are—a great many problems, but the biggest problem of all is the drop in SEO we’ve experienced, losing more than five times the organic traffic we had across all markets. First, they forgot to migrate the blog; then, they migrated it a month and a half later but lost all the blog images. The internal linking on the website and the blog was incorrect, there were countless broken URLs, and there were numerous technical SEO errors as well as translation errors in all languages. All these problems in a 10-year-old project are a colossal disaster and have had a very negative impact on our traffic and our results. And to this day, it continues to have a negative impact. We’ve had to take action because they haven’t corrected their mistakes, and we’ve had to invest a significant amount of resources to fix the issues—and we still haven’t seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Gabriel told us he was going to fix it, but they haven’t fixed a single thing—and it’s already been 9 months!!! They’re always passing the buck. My recommendation: don’t work with Webmefy (you can contact me if you’re considering them, and I’ll answer any questions firsthand) because working with a bad provider has a tremendously negative impact that’s very difficult and costly to recover from.
