What a terrible service center. They don’t keep appointments. You have to call them back 30 times, and even then you still get nowhere. The woman on the phone was very rude and disrespectful. The technician shows up and doesn’t even know what he’s there for. After weeks of calling back and forth and waiting, my problem still isn’t resolved.

Two years ago, my tumble dryer broke, and we asked Obbink to have a look at it. The technician was in for about 10 minutes: he removed a panel from the back, adjusted something on a gear, and said it was fine. That same week, we started using the dryer again and never thought about it again. My wife and the kids went to bed in the meantime, and when I tried to do the same thing myself, I suddenly smelled a strong burning odor. It turned out the smell was coming from the dryer. I immediately turned the appliance off. The next morning, I called and made it clear that it hadn’t been repaired properly. In the meantime, though, I’d already paid the invoice for the repair. They came back again and took the machine apart. This time, it turned out a coin was stuck between the moving parts, and the grinding had left a few burn marks. But they fixed it, and it worked fine after that—at least until, to our surprise, we received another bill for the mat. I called right away saying it must have been a mistake, but it wasn’t, and we were told to pay the invoice. Whether our house nearly burned down didn’t seem to matter. I refused to pay the bill. What a shock: two years later, I received an email from a bailiff for an amount of €30, which had grown to €73. I bought everything from Obbink—over €10,000 worth of equipment in a single year—but I’d much rather deal with a company like Coolblue. And if you want my advice, do the same. Because service isn’t something you get from Obbink.

They’re not coming back on their appointments at all. What a terrible company. Definitely not recommended. And the women in the office… pffff.

I had a technician come out for my broken air conditioner. They promised all kinds of things, but they didn’t follow through at all. They don’t call, they don’t email—nothing. The communication is really terrible. When you call reception, it feels like you’re not being taken seriously. And we’re already 4 weeks further, but we’re still no closer to a solution. Don’t buy from here if you expect good service, because that’s absolutely not the case—it’s unbelievable. I’ll never go with Obbink again.

We bought a new built-in dishwasher from Obbink and opted for their installation service. The installer came to install the new dishwasher, but he couldn’t get the old one out because there was a metal strip at the bottom under the countertop. We had to remove that ourselves before he could continue. He did remove all the drawers from the kitchen to disconnect the dishwasher. Then he left and said he’d come back about half an hour later to finish the job. After waiting 2 to 3 hours, we called customer service. They said they would contact the installer and call us back. Half an hour later, we ended up calling again ourselves to be told the installer had already gone home and that we’d need to schedule a new appointment. Of course, you have to pay for the installation costs again and you have to take a day off work. Fortunately, the next day a different installer came to finish it. We still had to hang the drawers back in ourselves, though. We also emailed Obbink about this, but after more than two weeks with no response, we decided to leave a review anyway. It’s really disappointing—we won’t be using Obbink again.
