I honestly regret ever going back to Movadex. About two years ago, we had them design our app, and the design work itself was solid, that’s the only reason we trusted them enough to bring development back to them after working with another dev team. At that point, the product was already about 80–90% complete and just needed to be pushed over the finish line into something usable. That never happened. From the start, we were given a certain budget and timeline (even after acknowledging we had made some changes along the way). But once the project began, it turned into constant delays and excuses. Every step of the way felt like something new was “coming up” that pushed things back further. What made it worse was how they handled scope and billing. We started getting charged for things that felt completely unnecessary or irrelevant to actually getting the product live, like moving our codebase from Bitbucket to GitHub. Instead of focusing on finishing a nearly complete product, time and money were spent on things that didn’t move the needle. In total, we spent another $8,000 with them, and we STILL don’t have a usable product. The core functionality we needed (being able to sign up a business and actually use the platform) is still not working. That was literally the same issue the previous dev team couldn’t solve, and Movadex didn’t get us any further. It’s extremely frustrating because we had real faith in them based on their earlier work. Instead, it ended up being a huge waste of time, money, and momentum. Overall, a major disappointment and letdown. I would not recommend trusting them with development work.
