About KI-Video.at
KI-VIDEO.AT is the AI video studio of Frame de la Frame, a Vienna film production company with more than 300 productions behind it. That background is the point: our generative work is directed by people who came from camera, edit and colour, not by prompt operators. We work in three modes. Hybrid production is the most requested, we shoot real footage and extend it generatively, adding set extensions that were impossible on the day, deriving extra cuts and formats from existing material, and pushing image work past conventional retouching. Animation is the second, narrative films with a generated visual world, such as our comic-style music video, where imagery is generated but pacing, edit and grading stay handmade. The third is fully AI-generated video: product reels, commercials, animation and concept visualisation produced without a shoot, a set or travel, which is the right call when a subject cannot be filmed affordably or at all. Across all three, editing, colour grading and sound design run through standard post tools, DaVinci Resolve above all. Deliverables come in landscape and vertical with social cutdowns included, and AI-generated content is labelled transparently in line with the EU AI Act, Article 50. Clients include Canon, the City of Vienna, OBI, DeLonghi and Electric Love Festival. Based in Vienna's 8th district, working across Austria and remotely.

Case Study by KI-Video.at
Description
A self-initiated photoreal product reel: 26 seconds, 1920×1080, 24 fps, generated end to end with no physical sample, no set and no camera. Macro detail on a consumer smartphone, machined edges, lens housing, light travelling across brushed metal, then edited, graded and scored like a conventional product film. Produced in-house to prove out the pipeline before offering it to clients. Not produced in association with any device manufacturer.
Solution
We approached it as a shoot, not as a prompt session. A shot list first, hero angle, material details, the light move that reveals the edge, the closing beauty shot, then generation against that list, in waves, keeping only the takes where the material held. The decisive part came afterwards and is the part that is not generative at all: edit, colour grading and sound design in DaVinci Resolve. Rhythm, contrast and a sound bed do more for perceived realism than any single frame. The result cuts like a product film because it was finished like one.
Results
A finished 26-second product film with no sample, no set, no shipping and no shoot day, the entire logistical layer of a product shoot removed. The piece validated the workflow we now offer as a service and became our reference case for AI product video, published on two of our sites and used as the preview image for ki-video.at. Being self-initiated, it carries no client performance data; what it demonstrates is feasibility, that macro-level photorealism survives the finish, not just the still frame.
