Case Study by Harder-Design
Description
The project involves developing the MyEye eyeglass configurator—a digital application that lets users design custom frame models online and configure them in a virtual environment in real time.
Solution
With the help of modern web technologies, an interactive platform has been developed that provides immediate visual feedback on the selected configurations. The UX design focuses on guided user flow, making it easier to choose frames, glass options, and design details, and it’s complemented by a powerful 3D display.
Results
The configurator significantly increases user engagement by delivering a personalized shopping experience. The system lowers barriers in the online purchasing process with accurate visualization of the finished products, leading to greater customer satisfaction and making it easier—and faster—to choose custom-fit eyeglasses.

Team
I’m a designer and developer with an interdisciplinary background in industrial design, computer science, and 3D visualization from the Göttingen area. After studying product design at Hochschule Hannover and completing a degree in computer science and digital humanities at the University of Göttingen, I now work as a freelancer on projects at the intersection of design and technology. My focus is on developing aesthetic and functional product solutions—both physical and digital. I bring together design thinking and technical expertise in software development to deliver truly end-to-end results.
