I went on a field trip with my college classmates, and they showed us “Plató Nou” (Studio Nine) and explained the productions they were working on, as well as the use of 2D, 3D, and 4D and other audiovisual technologies. The most interesting thing they showed us was the editing process for a scene involving characters inside a car. They showed us the steps they used to carry out the work, and honestly, in my opinion, it’s impeccable work and at the same time very difficult to pull off, since it requires significant technical and financial resources for the production to run perfectly. A staff member from the popular TV3 series “Crims” (Crimes) also came to speak with us, since Goroka—the video production company involved in the legendary Catalan series—was located near Lavinia. I believe he told us he was the series’ producer, and he spoke to us about how he handled the material he received for inclusion in the documentary (e.g., if there were any legal issues or images that had to be censored or restricted due to sensitivity concerns). They also gave us a brief tour of Lavinia’s facilities, including the production studios, offices, and so on.
