Don’t let these amateurs get to you. I got an email saying they’d “thoroughly reviewed” my website and that, of course, there was plenty to improve. Impressive—given that the website has been down for months because the practice closed.

Hi Fred, Thanks for your reply. While we understand the feedback about the timing, the conclusion that we didn’t review your website is incorrect. At Gaia Digital, we only carry out manual analyses to ensure quality—rather than using automatic bots. Because this is careful manual work, it takes time to prepare these reports and the related mailing lists. In your case, the analysis of your website was conducted about two months ago. Due to the time involved in this manual process, the email unfortunately was only sent recently, at a point when it appears your practice had already been shut down in the meantime. We hope you understand that your website actually received a lot of personal attention, and that the label “amateurs” therefore doesn’t really apply in this unfortunate coincidence of circumstances.

They’re sending out a ton of marketing emails, and this company doesn’t even deserve it. They’re also following up a lot. I’m not okay with that, so that’s why I’m leaving this review.

It’s great that Jona Jungerman/Gaia Digital, more or less by chance, came onto my path. For the extensive archive of photographer Frits Gerritsen, I was looking for a creative web designer who was also flexible and who really understood the subject matter. After consulting together, we came up with an exceptionally functional— and also beautiful—website. After a while, it was necessary to adjust the website because the functionality required it. Without any trouble, the site was further fine-tuned. Jona is an extremely pleasant person to brainstorm with and work with. His suggestions and knowledge regarding the website we were building were incredibly valuable.
