Hi Eric, Thank you for your reply. In early 2015, back when I was still a sole proprietor, I developed this webshop for you. As of November 2023—when Drupal 7 reaches end of life—that’s a little over 8 years ago. Our collaboration with Atom ended at the beginning of 2016. Back then, no doubt, mistakes were made and things could certainly have been done better. However, we remember the example you mentioned quite differently: You went from selling only Hoorns, with always at least €125 in shipping costs, to also selling small items. In that case, adjusting the shipping rules really is necessary. The webshop was developed for less than €10,000. That is indeed serious money, even if, for a webshop, it’s certainly not an astronomical amount. The webshop should—at the time—have cost much more. Work was done at a low hourly rate, and many tasks were carried out without payment. You benefited, and perhaps also experienced some downsides, from a company that was just getting started at the time. It’s a shame that you experienced it differently, and—judging by your reviews—that your experience with subsequent parties hasn’t been any better either. By the way, we didn’t submit a proposal to build a new version of Drupal, as your text seems to suggest. I wish you all the best.
