How we established an iconic brand with no local relevance as a relevant purchasing option for young men in a saturated, ad-weary market. Or how we positioned "Unbelievably effective" in the German market.
Solution
The strategy
If it doesn't feel like advertising, people won't skip it. We call this Unbelievably Effective: simply creating advertising that doesn't feel like advertising.
And because Old Spice needs faces for this, we looked for the perfect one for Germany: Teddy Teclebrhan as Antoine Burtz. The perfect German counterpart to Isaiah Mustafa and Terry Crews. A face that translates the Old Spice feeling into German.
The idea
A fictional advertising casting in mockumentary style for the new Old Spice commercial, with Antoine, a few props, and a single task: stay cool. Pure improv comedy for social media, where the product plays a supporting role but drives everything.
Results
- Total impressions: +64 million
- During the relevant campaign period, Old Spice saw sales growth of +42%. The category grew by just 1% during the same period. The campaign achieved a 24% higher recall rate compared to the brand average. Search interest for "Old Spice" grew by 30% on Google.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. The service is not perfect but friendly. The meat quality is good. Here we have steaks from the hot stone. It may be a bit retro, but the meat stays hot until the last bite!
