Out of all the places I tried in Lyon, this is by far the best bar.

A great find for our third date! 🤞 Sitting out on the terrace, the vibe was cozy. The cocktails are genuinely surprising, and the service was excellent. Thanks for such a lovely moment!
I recently discovered L’Abstract thanks to a special night I went to for my birthday, and I totally get why this place is so often mentioned among Lyon’s best cocktail bars. Getting in takes a little effort (a few steps depending on the entrance), but once you arrive, the atmosphere is absolutely worth it. The decor—leather banquettes, dim lighting, and a slightly retro vibe—immediately made me think of a film set. It feels like it has real character. Special mention goes to the distillery you can see in the back of the bar: that really adds to the whole experience. What truly sets L’Abstract apart is its in-house distillery. The bar makes its own spirits, called “monochromes,” which are used as the base for creative, carefully crafted cocktails. We tried several: a reworked Mauresque with star anise, an intense but perfectly balanced Espresso Martini, a Monochrome & Tonic with black olive that was especially surprising, and a twist on the Margarita with yellow pepper and a lovely smoky note. Everything was really well done, with a clear focus on flavor. Service was also spot-on—friendly, attentive, and professional—which only makes the overall experience better. On the night we went, they had a collaboration with Gus & Gas, so we could try their sandwiches. Another very pleasant surprise: delicious, generous portions—perfect alongside the cocktails. The only downside for me is the location. It’s a bit off from the areas where I usually go out. Still, that’s exactly the kind of place you go out of your way to visit. Overall, it was a fantastic experience at a spot with a genuine concept and a strong identity. I’d recommend it without hesitation.
Solar energy from the server and the one who makes cocktails. Original cocktails, all homemade—flavors that bring you right back to the point, simply. Really delicious cocktails. Go for it! 🍸
Amazing!! The kind of bar where every little detail is thought out! Loved the 70s/80s theme, the colors, the interior, the glassware, and most of all, the coasters!! 😍 Oh and of course, the cocktails were delicious! The butter martini is next level. Love how everything’s made in-house! Lovely, knowledgeable service too! Legends!
Great hospitality from Faustile and Nicolas. The fact that the alcohol is made on-site with quality ingredients—plus the original recipes—means you really get your money’s worth. A one-of-a-kind place 👌
Great
