Very Disappointing Experience with Zenso Digital
I had a very disappointing experience with Zenso Digital. I initially approached the company for a job opportunity, but one of their representatives offered me freelance work instead. They asked me to audit a website, and I spent my valuable time preparing and submitting a detailed SEO audit report for them.
After reviewing the report, they asked about my budget. I quoted ₹12,000 per month, but after several follow-ups, they told me their budget was only ₹7,000–₹8,000. I was willing to work within their budget, so I followed up for the last three days, but they have not responded.
The biggest concern is that they asked me to do work for them, received a free SEO audit report, and then stopped responding even after I agreed to their budget. This is highly unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for a freelancer's time and effort.
If there was no confirmed project or intention to hire, they should have communicated that clearly instead of asking someone to spend hours preparing a free audit.
Based on my personal experience, I would advise other freelancers to be cautious before investing their time in unpaid assignments for this company. Always clarify the project scope, budget, and commitment before providing free work.
We’re sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience. However, we would like to clarify that the SEO audit was assigned as part of the interview evaluation process to assess your SEO knowledge, analytical skills, and practical approach to website optimization.
The assignment was intended to evaluate your suitability for the role and was not a confirmed freelance project. The subsequent discussion regarding budget was part of exploring a potential working arrangement, and no final agreement or commitment was made.
We respect the time and effort candidates invest in interview assignments, and we believe clear communication is important on both sides. We regret if there was any misunderstanding regarding the purpose of the assignment or the next steps.
We appreciate your interest in Zenso Digital and wish you the best in your professional journey.
