Description

"For my health!" - is the motto and vision of our collaboration with KNAPPSCHAFT, Germany's longest-established health insurance company. We have been supporting the team with strategy, copy, creation, campaigns and ad management since 2020.

Challenge

Daily, we face the challenge of balancing light, snackable content such as recipes or fitness tips for everyday life with serious topics such as vaccinations and prevention. Together with KNAPPSCHAFT, we developed monthly focus topics for the Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube channels as well as the blog, known here as the magazine.

Solution

Fixed content formats have been created across the platform, in which the diverse range of topics will continue to find their place after the pandemic. This includes sensitive content on mental health as well as information on widespread truisms and health myths. Whether it's a video consultation with medical experts from the KNAPPSCHAFT network or a catchy saying: the range of formats leaves room for everyday questions about health. Easy-to-understand content at eye level is always the focus of communication with policyholders and potential new customers. In addition to the expansion of the social media channels, the KNAPPSCHAFT blog was also relaunched. In the KNAPPSCHAFT magazine, for example, you can find the recipe videos with seasonal superfoods that we shot. You will also find longreads and in-depth articles on more serious health topics such as cancer prevention and stress management. In the future, you will also find other formats such as health fun facts and quizzes.

Results

We have been able to double the reach and size of the community since the beginning and increase KNAPPSCHAFT's customer base with targeted advertising. Interactions and mentions have tripled since then and KNAPPSCHAFT is regularly one of the most successful health insurance companies in Germany in a highly competitive environment.

The goal was to develop a unique podcast format around NABU's core theme, from the initial idea to production. In the workshop, we laid the foundation for the content and developed a concept with a focus on the target audience and USP. Then it was time to get started: editorial support, format development, sections, jingles, separators, everything a podcast with character needs. And to ensure that it not only sounds good but is also heard, we developed three targeted social media campaigns.

We had a lot of fun during the workshop—but things really took off in the studio during the first recording session. The tension was palpable: Would the chemistry be right? Would the recording work? And above all—would what we had thought up so beautifully in theory also work in practice? Spoiler alert: Yes, and how! Everyone put their heart and soul into it, there was laughter, fine-tuning, celebration, and in the end, it was clear: the concept not only made sense, it also had a voice and character. 🎙️🐦

Of course, there's always room for improvement. But let's be honest: we didn't just develop a podcast format, we created something truly unique with character, charm, and a touch of bird magic. 🐦✨ And as if that weren't reason enough to celebrate, we also took home the DPOK award. 🏆😉
