Description
We’re not just throwing a party—we’re throwing a full-scale festival.
Across generations, HARIBO Goldbears have come to symbolize childhood joy and carefree fun. How do you give an established brand icon an unexpected boost in its anniversary year? How do you create some excitement with a product that nobody really has a problem with? By putting the Goldbears on the right stage for their 100th birthday and sending them to Wacken, the world’s biggest heavy metal festival.
Solution
By combining "Heavy Metal" with Goldbären, we’re creating "Happy Metal" and headbanging from the far north all across Germany. We take off in a hot air balloon to play the world’s highest air guitar solo as the highlight of an integrated campaign. The stunt above the heads of the revelers not only makes it into the Guinness Book of World Records, but also into people’s minds and hearts (and the media).
