Unfortunately, I have to confirm other reviews already written that LANCOM, as a German business "manufacturer" in the premium segment, cannot maintain its reputation through support. The quality of the hardware and software speaks for itself, but the stagnation compared to competitors on the world market is increasing. As malfunctions, instructions, configuration etc. are becoming more and more frequent or are incorrectly designed, manufacturer support is absolutely essential ... Unfortunately, this is the beginning of a big construction site/story that never ends. Not always, but more and more often, verbal or written inquiries are ignored or forwarded or answered incorrectly ... Not processed in a targeted manner. Therefore, I cannot currently recommend purchasing hardware or software products from LANCOM with the hope of improvement, which is not yet visible/recognizable. New experience from 12.2024: things are looking up again, the support is to be praised (at least in Step 2) and friendly, goal achieved. 3 star added.

My personal experience with Lancom: telephone availability = zero! The next support employee has supposedly been free for me for about 3 hours. For a so-called premium business manufacturer, this is unfortunately a no-go and a major disaster! In my experience, the very expensive wifi devices are very incompatible with many clients and the switches often don't last 3 years. It's better to use Chinese hardware from TP-Link and the like and not only save a lot of money, but also get much more functional devices, some with better support...
