Dear Mr. Pimpertz, you are campaigning for health insurance to be split up further according to tariffs for the insured. Is this really the right way forward? We already have too few staff and too much bureaucracy. Shouldn't insurance be a community of solidarity? What would happen if private health insurance were abolished without replacement? Many people can no longer afford their premiums in old age. As a new driver, weren't you also annoyed by extremely high premiums? An extra tariff for every "sausage". This is another thing that drives people to extremes. And politicians are surprised. Perhaps you could take a look in this direction. Best regards A democracy-loving person with statutory health insurance

"The German government lacks a long-term strategy," said IW Director Michael Hüther "Uncertainty is the greatest poison for the economy." Nobody knows whether there will be further lockdowns in December or in the spring. These statements are empty words, as they are not followed by any proposals or even solutions. This is neither scientific nor helpful, but it is the consistent style of this "institute".

Dear Dr. Hagen, You find a wage-price spiral questionable? I find the wage-profit spiral alarming. Strangely enough, none of it arrives in the pockets of the "working" people (or as you call them "consumers"). Here's what I find concerning: According to a recently published study by the management consultancy Ernst & Young (EY), the executive boards (excluding CEOs) of top German companies (DAX, MDAX and SDAX) received on average 469,000 euros more salary (24%) in 2021. The average annual salary is 2.4 million euros. The average total compensation of CEOs increased by 700,000 euros (23%) to 3.3 million euros. Also of concern is that German energy suppliers have made more profits during the crisis than ever before.... make times for this a study. One that perhaps does not bear the stamp of the sponsoring companies.
Experts who really know their way around the economy work here. Without your advice over many years, the situation in Germany and Europe would be much worse. Respect for your work!
