The DC had committed to a 4-month collaboration (I’m freelance). I adjusted my schedule accordingly, turned down clients, and ultimately lost both money and a lot of time. The start date of our contract came and went, and I never heard from them again—no replies to my five emails. Same on the HR side. This was about a year ago now. Freelancers and creatives: I strongly advise you against it.
