Creation of an automatically generated complete catalog based on priint:suite.
Challenge
How do you put thousands of surgical instruments in a visual order that is immediately understandable? How can minimal differences be presented in such a way that medical professionals can grasp them at a glance? And how can this be achieved with hundreds of pages of a complete product catalog for surgical instruments and medical products, without even a single manual intervention?
Solution
The answer lies in a design principle that thinks for itself: dynamic templates. They are the backbone of the catalog that Freiheitsgrad® designed for Aesculap and realized together with Werk II. Unlike rigid layouts, dynamic templates react flexibly to content - they group, weight and structure automatically. This creates a layout for each new data constellation that not only works technically, but is also visually impressive. Up to date, at the touch of a button and fully automated.
Results
Together with Aesculap, Freiheitsgrad® defined the rules for the dynamic templates: Which information needs to be guided, which catches the eye, which is repeated - and yet must not appear redundant? This analysis resulted in a modular template system that harmonizes design and data logic. Technical details were anchored in tables, visual differences highlighted and recurring elements harmonized. The result: a fully automated complete catalog in two volumes and with over 1,700 pages that can be easily updated, displayed in a wide range of variants and scaled internationally. Without design compromises. Without manual post-processing. And with a clear goal: to prepare information in such a way that it leads with confidence - in a world where precision counts.
