Description

Since September 2021, additiv has been handling trade press relations and content marketing for SAFELOG, a leading manufacturer of mobile transport robots. At the start of the project, there was no marketing or editorial coverage. The goal: to establish product communication, increase brand awareness, and position the company as Europe’s largest AGV manufacturer.

Challenge

SAFELOG was known in the industry as a manufacturer, but had never actively marketed itself. At the same time, more and more providers were flooding the booming mobile robotics market with exaggerated promises. Terms like “AMR” (Autonomous Mobile Robot) were used purely as marketing buzzwords. SAFELOG needed a credible, practical positioning that stood out from this hype.

Solution

Buyer persona workshop and definition of key messages. Positioning as Europe’s largest AGV manufacturer. CEO positioning and thought leadership for Managing Director Matthias Behounek as a practical voice in the industry—including the assertion that “AMR” is purely a marketing term and that process efficiency matters more than autonomy. Long-term campaign and action planning with visits to editorial offices. Agenda setting in the business press (Handelsblatt, FAZ, Manager Magazin). Building conviction through use cases and timely product placements in the trade press.

Results

A total of over 676 clippings since the start of the collaboration (2022/2023: 190 publications / MÄW €540,414; 2023/2024: 200 publications / MÄW €518,685; 2024/2025: 286 publications / estimated market value €1,050,732). Regular coverage in business media such as Handelsblatt, FAZ, and Manager Magazin. Publications in all relevant trade journals: Robotik und Produktion, dhf, Materialfluss, Technische Logistik, Logistra, MM Logistik, and many more. SAFELOG is now recognized as a leading European manufacturer of mobile transport robots.
